The 2008 Fall Hibernation Classic saw some tough fishing for the 11 teams that competed, most of which had earned FREE entries.The final tourney of the season to determine who would win the N2IT Cup. Congratulations to team N2IT2 Cochran & Cochran as they found the bigger fish of the tourney, weighing in a 5 fish, 17.06 lbs. bag to collect the 1st place check. 2nd Place went to the team of Osmera & Hayes with 13.47 lbs, & 3rd Place to Rob Weberg of Holly & Weberg with 12.93 lbs, who fished alone as his partner Shawn was home celebrating the birth of his second child the night before the tourney. Congrats, Shawn! The Madden Taxidermy Big Bass award went to Rob Weberg with a 5.59 lbs pig. Cochran & Cochran had the 2nd Big Bass at 4.32 lbs. Payouts were: 5th place Lil Bits Country Store & Bait Shop gas prize - $20 Blecha & Hooke

High winds made for a tough bite in 2008 N2IT Fishing Do or Die Charge. 12 teams braved the elements to put them in the final position to win the N2IT Cup. WOW! Have I been missing out on some good fishing! We had over 300 lbs of bass caught averaging almost 3.75 lbs/fish, and only 2 boats weighed in no fish. (They must have seen everyone elses sacks and decided not to weigh.) The fishing looked to be pretty tough for a delayed season opener, as none of the teams came in with a full bag. The slow conditions didn't seem to cut off the big bite though, the average fish caught in the tourney was well over 3 pounds. Congratulations to the team of Green & Thomsen as they brought in the winning bag of 4 fish for 15.72 lbs. to collect the 1st place check, 2nd Place went to the team of Holly & Weberg with 15.05 lbs, & 3rd Place to Toon Time Stoafer & Horvath with 13.39lbs.
